伯纳德·吉姆·詹森(Bernard Jim Jansen)教授简介:Dr. Jim Jansen is a Principal Scientist of the Qatar Computing Research Institute, leading a research team working on the automatic visualization of user data (seehttps://acua.qcri.org/team), a professor from College of Science and Engineering, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and an adjunct professor from College of Information Sciences and Technology, The Pennsylvania State University. He is a graduate of West Point and has a Ph.D. in computer science from Texas A&M University, along with master’s degrees from Texas A&M (computer science) and Troy State (international relations). Professor Jansen is editor-in-chief of the journalInformation Processing & Managementand former editor-in-chief ofInternet Research. He has received several awards and honors, including an ACM Research Award, six application development awards, a product innovation award, and a university-level teaching award, along with other writing, publishing, research, teaching, and leadership honors. Dr. Jansen has authored or co-authored more than 350 research publications, with articles appearing in a multi-disciplinary range of journals and conferences. He is the author of the booksData-Driven Personas(Springer Nature),Understanding Sponsored Search: A Coverage of the Core Elements of Keyword Advertising(Cambridge University Press), and Understanding User - Web Interactions Via Web Analytics, co-author of the book,Web Search: Public Searching of the Web, and co-editor of the bookHandbook of Research on Weblog Analysis. He has served as a Senior Fellow at the Pew Research Center with the Pew Internet and American Life Project and a university expert with the National Ground Intelligence Center.He has done several consulting projects (log analysis, statistical analysis) and expert witness cases (patent litigation, civil litigation, and class action suits) in the areas of keyword advertising, web analytics, co-registration, domain parking, webpage access, webpage history, and online advertising click fraud.
